Merge Audio Files
Drop in several audio files, reorder them, and join them into one. You can insert a gap of silence between each file.
The conversion engine (about 32 MB) loads once on your first run and starts instantly from cache afterwards.
How to use it
Select the files together or drop them in one at a time. They appear as a list — use the up and down buttons to fix the order and the × to drop one. Type a number of seconds into "silence between files" if you want a gap, then choose an output format and merge.
Mixed formats are fine
MP3, WAV, M4A and OGG can be combined in one job. Each input is resampled to 44.1 kHz stereo before the join, so you never end up with a track that cuts out or plays on one channel only halfway through.
Typical uses
Stitching a meeting that recorded in several parts, joining voice-over takes, assembling audiobook chapters, or building a podcast from intro, body and outro. One or two seconds of silence between parts makes the seams easier to follow.
Frequently asked questions
How many files can I merge?
There is no hard limit, but because the work happens in browser memory, around 20 files and 500 MB in total is a comfortable ceiling. Beyond that, merge in batches and then merge the results.
How is the order decided?
Files are joined top to bottom as shown in the list. They start in the order you picked them, and the up and down buttons let you rearrange.
Does merging change the quality?
The output is re-encoded, so choose WAV if you want no loss at all. With MP3 or M4A at 192 kbps or higher the difference is very hard to hear.
